10 Little Lies Woman Tell Each Other
- Honey, that's just water weight- it'll come right off as soon as you have the baby.
- This was really fun. I love a good closet clean-out!
- I know he's bad for me, and I promise I am so over him.
- Of course you and your boyfriend can stay with me for a week, I'll just sleep on the couch, no problem.
- Nah, I don't really want dessert either.
- You went with the plaid walls! Nice!
- Bethenny who? I don't even watch that show.

I'm MINT
Vogue Beauty

- studies have confirmed that the skins temperature increases during sleep and that warmer skin absorbs more of a skincare product's active ingredients. Choose a "treatment" night cream that is packed with vitamins and reap the benefits while you sleep. (pg 118)
- Tanning beds are worse than tanning on the beach for several reasons; the light tubes have 3 times more the UVA rays than that given from the sun. A typical session is equivalent to one full day at the beach. Even though you may not burn you are getting UVB rays that are associated with aging. Because people do not wear sunscreen in the bed, it makes it even more dangerous in terms of cancer. A study shown in Sweden has shown that people who use a tanning bed more than 10 times a year have a seven times greater risk of melanoma. (pg 130-131)
- your hair should be absolutely and completely soaked before you shampoo. Don't just flash it under the shower - let it get drenched for 30 seconds to one minute- you will need much less shampoo and washing will be easier. (pg 184)
- when applying eyeshadow to the crease of the eye, keep your eyes open. This way you can see what shape you are creating, and the color will go into and slightly above the crease. (pg 230)
- The best way to catch any falling powder shadow is to apply loose powder generously beneath the lower lashes before applying the color. The powder sweeps off easily, taking any unwanted color pigments with it. (pg 235)
- Avoid the temptation to pump the mascara wand up and down to get an even coverage of mascara on it. This pumping action traps air inside the tube and the mascara will dry out more quickly. (pg 238)
- Scents and perfumes are light and temperature sensitive. Leaving them open or in sunlight are probably the worst things you can do for them. The best place for your fragrance is actually your fridge and just take a little out at a time to leave on your make up table. (pg 308)
